"The World" is a co-production of the BBC World Service, PRI and WGBH Boston. PRI's "The World" is a one-hour, weekday radio news magazine offering a mix of news, features, interviews, and music from around the globe. Guillaume Canet, the director of "Tell No One," talks about the film from France Harlan Coben author of the book the movie's based on, is in New York. But after the mystery emails, he begins his own investigation into his wife's apparent murder, in parallel with the French police who have re-opened the case. Beck had been suspected of killing his wife. Beck's wife was thought to have been murdered 8 years before - until mysterious emails begin appearing in his inbox. In the film, we meet pediatrician Alexandre Beck. The success has, surprise, surprise, sparked talk of an American remake. But a small distribution company took a chance on it, and the film has now grossed almost 3 million dollars here in the 6 weeks it's been out.
Distributors thought the it was "too American" for a French art-house film. The film was shot in France, and it was a huge success there but it took a while to make it into American theaters. "Tell No One" is based on a book of the same title by American author Harlan Coben. But I just don’t see it as a “must read” thriller.The irony about the French movie thriller "Tell No One" is that word of mouth has made it a hit. I’m sure many other readers liked it more than I did. It’s entertaining but the characters and the story isn’t going to stick with me.

The list is interesting with classic older books and modern books. I had already read many books on the list, so now I reading the books that are new to me. Then he gets a cryptic email from an anonymous sender and his life is turned upside down.Ī few years ago Amazon came out with a list of 100 mysteries and thrillers to read in a lifetime.
